Ground Based Air Defense Senior Operator Instructor
Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a full-time individual with demonstrated experience in Senior Operator Instructor to support the U.S. Marine Corps’ Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) New Equipment Training (NET) development and delivery effort.
What You Will Be Doing:
The selected candidate will be responsible for determining training objectives and conducting training programs to support the Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) New Equipment Training (NET). The Senior Operator Instructor will assist the Operator Team Lead in the management of the instructor/curriculum development cadre. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Delivers training curriculum
Determines training objectives
Develops curriculum in accordance with the Systems Approach to Training process—the ADDIE model
Proficient in the employment of the GBAD portfolio and operator/field-level maintenance tasks
Writes training programs, including outlines, text, handouts, tests, and designs laboratory exercises
Lectures class on safety, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of software, machinery, and equipment, following outline, handouts and texts
Administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance
The primary work location for this position is Camp Pendleton, CA area. Travel may be required up to 50% annually. Travel locations could include: Cherry Point, NC; Quantico, VA; Crane, IN; 29 Palms, CA; Yuma, AZ; and Okinawa, Japan.

Have a minimum of five (5) years of proven experience as an instructor in a Formal Learning Center, military, or technical training program.
Successful completion of a military Formal School Instructor Course and military curriculum developer courses, or completion of or equivalent industry recognized technical training instructor program.
Successfully designated as a Senior Instructor per Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1 (MAWTS-1) Control, and Communication (C3) Course Catalog.
Bachelors (or higher) degree in Instructional Systems Design is highly desirable, but not required.
Ideal candidate has experience as an Army Career Management Field 14 or Marine Corps MOS 72xx.
Preferred candidates will also be Low Altitude Air Defense (LAAD) Enhanced/Tactics Instructor (LETI) or Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI); LAAD or Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Platoon Commander, Team Lead, Section Leader; Tank, Light Armored Vehicle (LAV), or an Avenger Master Gunner.
Preferred candidates will have technical experience in Command and control communications system installation, operations and maintenance; tactical data network administration; turret-based, direct fire weapons platform installation, operations and maintenance; electro-optic/infrared, laser system installation, operations and maintenance; air defense radar systems and associated IFF equipment installation, operations and maintenance; maintenance management.
