Instructional Designer

Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer (ID) of applied learning products and services delivered to Department of Defense clients, principally the U.S. Navy.  The successful candidate will have proven successful working relationships with military and other Government clients, and have energy and passion for improving human performance.

What You Will Be Doing:

You’ll work in collaborative, distributed, cross-functional teams to deliver training products and services that address client needs encompassing training analysis and requirements, course of action analysis, learning design, curriculum, learning content in various mode and media, learner assessment, change management, and effectiveness evaluation.  As an experienced ID, and on a project basis, you’ll be responsible for leading teams in developing and delivering required contract deliverables.  You may also be assigned a role across multiple projects directing our instructional design practice.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in all phases of instructional system development (ADDIE), with particular emphasis in analysis, design, and evaluation work

  • Currency in instructional technology and techniques

  • Experience in developing operational training devices and interactive multimedia instruction

  • Demonstrated leadership of a training project development team

  • Degree in Education, Psychology, Instructional Systems Design, or related discipline, plus related work experience:

    • Ph.D./Ed.D. with 2 years of experience

    • Ed.S. with 3 years of experience

    • MA/MS/MEd with 4 years of experience

    • BA/BS with 6 years of experience

    • Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for U.S. government security clearance

Desired, but not required, qualifications:

  • Familiarity with U.S. Navy’s Sailor 2025 analysis process

  • Expert in Content Planning Module and Learning Object Module
