Submarine Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Developer

What You Will Be Doing:

Sonalysts, Inc., is seeking a logistics specialist to assist in the design and development of technical manuals, logistics and training products for government and commercial clients.  Specifically, Sonalysts is looking for a person with a strong background in the Navy logistics process and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).

 Tasks will include the following:

  • Develop and review logistics products, including but not limited to, technical drawings, functional schematics, parts lists (APLs), reliability data, schedules and Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs).

  • Develop, format and edit information for IETMs

  • Use a database and database tools to review, edit and author IETMs

  • Conduct training analysis to determine system/course training needs

  • Develop curriculum (Instructor Guides and Lesson Plans) for Instructor Led Training (ILT) and Interactive Courseware (ICW)

  • Develop procedures and laboratory job sheets

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with U.S. Navy logistics development, to include IETMs, training or other logistics support products

  • Professional experience in technical writing

  • Must be U.S. citizen eligible for government security clearance

Desired, but not required, experience with the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience writing technical procedures, job sheets and functional descriptions

  • Familiarity with databases

  • Instructional experience conducting or storyboarding training

  • Subject matter expertise in electronics and electrical theory, Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUVs), and/or submarine electromagnetic systems such as Radar, Electronic Warfare, Communications, and Imaging/Periscope systems

  • Recent U.S. Navy Submarine experience
